Some basic information regarding types of furnaces. There are three types of Furnaces that are most common. Single stage, Two Stage and Modulating. You could use this information and get a better understanding which type will best fit your needs!
Single-Stage Furnace: A single stage furnace has only two settings on and off. When the thermostat calls for heat it runs at full power and turns off once the thermostat satisfied
Two Stage Furnaces: They have low fire and high fire. When heat turn on it start with low fire and it turns off if your thermostat is meets the conditions. If weather gets especially cold then the furnace Will switch to high fire mode and once the thermostat meets the conditions it will switch to standby mode.
Modulating Furnace: Modulating furnaces provide homes with more precise temperature control and less dramatic temperature fluctuations. Modulating furnaces will keep your home very cozy and comfortable. Modulating furnaces will be energy efficient as compared to single and two stage furnaces.
